Re: stem cell research
depend on the kind of stem cell. fetal not ethical but if its your own stem cells (and if u argue against the fact that we have stem cells go back 2 grade 10) is fair game and infact i believe it would be unethical to denie such medical potential

frick guys, if you're gonna post a new thread actually start the conversation. Don't just be like... "thoughts?" and expect the rest of us to put in the effort of saying something worthwhile. Use your minds, go on drudge report, and find a relevant news article.

doesn't have to be a stem cell infact you would be better off with blood to proform cloning. cloning stem cell is interesting in the case of fetal because your cloning the baby u killed or died of natural causes so potentialy you could in a sense cure certain types of miss carrages

Re: stem cell research
Gotta agree here, sorry. Could you at least put up an article that explains what stem cell research is, how it's contreversial, etc? just for those of us who aren't sure on the specifics? thanks.Mossadegh wrote:frick guys, if you're gonna post a new thread actually start the conversation. Re: stem cell research
agree with most of the "forum rules" stuff here... and there goes a perfectly fine topic that with a little more explanation and a little less stupidity would have made for a decent use of my time...

Alright, so i do believe there is some merit in this discussion, but it wasn't presented properly or appropriately.

a link to a simple explanation of stem cell research, to those of us who are a little unclear on the basics.
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/06/health/06parkinsons.html?_r=1
A link to how stem cell research can be beneficial and some experiments and research that's being done..

A link to some of the downsides to stem cell research.

A link which has more information on stem cell research (and where i got the previous 2 links)
Now, let's start this conversation over. Do you think the benefits of stem cell research outweighs the negative aspects?
