Technology's Role in the World

A few days ago I came across this video and it had a lot of interesting trivial facts in it about the changing world. Technology plays a big part in our world, do you think we (the world) rely on it too much?

Every generation relies on technology. Like whoever built the first fire. They used that advantage to make life easier for himself/herself. But as for relying on it too much? The line is blurred so i am not sure. My opinion would be yes. For example we rely on oil and gas too much. We have to technology to rid the world of oil and gas cars but we cant because so much of our economy is based on oil.

tech's role is everything without it we would be screwed. if computers went bye bye we would die
