Is it ethically okay for the united states to have direct involvement in the overthrow of a leader in another country?

I think it depends on the situation. I'm not quite sure how to put this, but I think it's acceptable for the United States to get involved if the lives of many innocents are depending on it. again, this goes back to the discussion "is it okay to make decisions for other people?" if the United States if overthrowing a head of state, simply because the USA feels the other country needs a leader more friendly to america, i don't think it's really ethical. However, if this person is raging out of control and needs to be removed because they're a threat, i think it would be beneficial, simply to provide safety and security for innocent people.
